CCOSDD RENTAL AGREEMENT
This Rental Agreement is between Chase County Old School Development District, Inc (“CCOSDD”) and _______________________________ (“Renter”) for Renter's temporary use of the gymnasium, concession kitchen, meeting room, commons and other rooms listed here _________________________________________. The historic limestone building to the east is not included in this agreement. The rental includes use of tables, chairs, and other furnishings in the building.
Both parties agree as follows:
Renter’s special event will occur on this date: ___________________________. CCOSDD will work with Renter to allow sufficient time for event setup and takedown room) + $25 to add kitchen to either of the partial rentals. Total __________ and the refundable cleaning fee deposit of $50, $75, $100 or $150, depending on group size (< or > 50) and area (a meeting room only or entire building) being used. The rental fee is due two weeks before the event and is non-refundable after that date. The cleaning deposit is due the first day of the rental.
If Renter or any guests of Renter cause damage to the premises or its contents (doors, windows, tables, chairs, or any other items on premises), Renter agrees to reimburse CCOSDD for the costs of repairing any such damage to restore the premises to original condition or to replace contents if unrepairable. CCOSDD will inspect the premises after the event to determine whether any damage has occurred. Renter will provide CCOSDD prior to the event with a valid credit card and agrees to allow CCOSDD to charge this credit card for repairs to the premises or to replace contents if unrepairable after Renter receives an invoice statement from CCOSDD detailing the costs of repairs or of the replaced contents.
Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless CCOSDD from any claims, loss, or damage, whether personal property damage or personal injury caused to any person. Renter agrees to waive and hold harmless CCOSDD for any personal injury claim by any party, including renter's invited guests, for damages or personal injury because health guidelines and regulations relating to the Covid-19 pandemic were not followed before, during or after the renter’s event activities.
No firearms or personal weapons are permitted on CCOSDD property.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside all buildings. Renter agrees to direct smokers to an outdoor area at least 50 feet from any part of any building.
No open flames, including candles, are allowed on the property.
Alcohol may be served at the event. Renter agrees to comply with Kansas liquor laws.
Renter must be at least 21 with a valid driver’s license. .
Renter agrees to abide by all applicable state and local laws and ordinances.
No commercial activities will occur during the event without prior approval by CCOSDD representative.
This document shall be interpreted and construed according to the laws of the State of Kansas.
